Since 2017

A History created by a coincidence

In May 2017, ThyssenKrupp Materials Sweden AB decided to wind down its operations in Sweden, including the headquarters and warehouse in Gothenburg as well as offices around the country. This led to the founding of STEELCENTER Sweden on August 1, 2017.

CEO Lars Rogbring, along with former colleagues from ThyssenKrupp Materials Sweden AB, saw an opportunity to start the new company in collaboration with the INEV group.

Now, Steelcenter is part of the INEV group, a corporation that invests long-term in promising and developable companies. Through INEV, Steelcenter has not only gained a strong financial owner but also the advantages of being part of a group. Collaborations with other companies within the group create added value. With the help of ThyssenKrupp ESC (Edelstahl Service Center), we took over the sales of stainless steel in the form of sheets and coils in the Nordic region. Our industrial department also took over the representation for several German agencies, which now collaborate with us in the automotive and engineering industries in Sweden.

Since 2017, we have expanded with more agencies and assignments from Europe, which has contributed to the growth of both our operations and product areas.
