1.4016
The steel is often used for kitchenware and indoor furnishings. The steel is not weldable and has relatively low corrosion resistance.
1.4509
1.4509 is a nickel-free, and therefore cheaper, alternative to 1.4301. The steel withstands high temperatures, has good formability, and is weldable.
1.4510
The steel is primarily used in the automotive industry due to its excellent weldability and formability.
1.4301
Austenitic stainless steel, referred to as "standard 18/8," boasts excellent resistance to both corrosion and high temperatures. It outperforms ferritic steels in most applications and environments. EN 1.4306 and EN 1.4307 are low-carbon variants of EN 1.4301 with low content of carbon.
1.4404
It is a molybdenum-alloyed, acid-resistant stainless steel. Its corrosion resistance is excellent against both general corrosion and pitting. Due to its higher content of nickel (Ni) and molybdenum (Mo), the steel has strong resistance to chlorides and acids.
1.4541
A variant of 1.4301 that is titanium-stabilized to prevent intergranular corrosion during welding.
1.4571
A variant of 1.4404 that is also titanium-stabilized.
1.4539 (904L)
It is a highly alloyed, fully austenitic stainless steel—a super-austenitic grade with low carbon content. This steel is specifically designed to resist corrosion in diluted sulfuric acid and is recommended for use in phosphoric acid and organic acid applications. It can withstand harsh environments effectively.
1.4547 (254SMO)
It is an austenitic stainless steel that, thanks to its high molybdenum content, possesses excellent resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion. This steel grade is specifically designed for use in harsh seawater environments, such as oil platforms.
1.4162 (LDX2101)
The steel has excellent strength properties, allowing for reduced material thickness, which in turn saves both weight and costs.
1.4462 (SAF 2205)
It is a duplex acid-resistant steel that combines many of the excellent properties of both ferritic and austenitic steels. Thanks to its high chromium and molybdenum content, the steel offers exceptional resistance to pitting and general corrosion.
1.4410 (SAF 2507)
Superduplex steel boasts exceptional corrosion resistance and very high strength properties. However, welding this steel is notably challenging.
Brushed/Polished
Cold-rolled stainless steel with surface finishes such as Scotch Brite, DP20, DP40, or other variants.
Is an excellent choice when aiming to enhance the aesthetic appeal.
Bright-annealed sheets
The bright annealing process takes place in a controlled atmosphere without oxygen. The goal of this heat treatment is to minimize oxidation to an absolute minimum. The result is bright-annealed 2R, also known as BA (bright annealed).

More about Stainless Steel
Good to Know About Stainless Steel
Stainless steel is an iron alloy known for its resistance to rust and corrosion. This durability is primarily due to the presence of at least 10.5% chromium, which forms a thin, protective layer of chromium oxide on the surface. If the surface is damaged, this layer can quickly reform in the presence of oxygen, providing continuous protection.
Stainless steel is incredibly versatile and is used in a wide range of areas such as architecture and construction, interior design, automotive, medicine, food and beverage, chemicals, energy and power, household items, art, and monuments. Stainless steel can be reshaped and formed, colored, ground, polished to give different appearances to meet a function and requirements. An example is anti-slip protection for pools where there was a certain requirement for slip risk or as facades for building or interior design in offices or home areas such as kitchens and bathrooms.
